New ‘discreet’ Viagra Launched ending Embarrassment Of Blue Pill

The makers of Viagra are set to release a new ‘discrete’ kind of the drug that will change the renowned – and immediately recognisable – little blue pill.

The distinct diamond-shaped tablets might soon be changed by a pink, rectangular ‘wafer’ that dissolves on the tongue, suggesting it does not need to be taken with water.

About half of males over 40 suffer erectile dysfunction in the UK and last year there was a record 4.57 million prescriptions for Viagra on the NHS.

The drug first pertained to the marketplace in the 1990s after being developed by the American pharmaceutical business Pfizer.

It was very first developed in the 1980s as a cardiovascular disease medication, but trial participants saw it had an unusual adverse effects – regular erections.

Now, Pfizer spin-off Viatris, which owns the Viagra name and brand, has obtained a hallmark in the UK for the new kind of the drug, Viagra ODF.

Viatris has currently released the Viagra ODF in Canada and marketed it as being ‘thin and discreet’ which might be more effective for many consumers.

The unique tablets – which can cause embarrassment for some clients – has been transformed and a new dissolvable type may be offered to Brits in the next 5 years. Stock image

‘Tablets are not constantly bearable to patients and also in some cases the size of tablets may put clients off having them,’ Thorrun Govind, pharmacist and health professional, told The Telegraph.

She included: ‘Some guys might still be discovering the idea of having Viagr humiliating, however I would hope that and conversations about sexual health have actually proceeded considering that Viagra was first created.’

Ms Govind believes this brand-new style is a ‘favorable step forward’.

The new dissolvable medication is thought to likely come to the UK imminently.

Rebecca Anderson-Smith, partner and chartered trade mark attorney at Mewburn Ellis, informed the newspaper that the trademark application is a ‘great indicator’ it will be available within the next five years.

She explained trade mark registrations can be cancelled if they are not used for a continuous duration of 5 years or more after registration. As a result, it appears Viatris intends to introduce the item within the next couple of years.

However, granting a hallmark would not ensure the ODF could be sold and it would have to be authorized by the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency first.

It’s expected to cost the exact same as the tablet variation and to be available in the same doses.

A total of 4.57 million prescriptions for sildenafil, more commonly understood by the brand Viagra, and other kinds of impotency drugs offered under the trademark name Cialis and Levitra, were dispensed by the health service in 2023

This comes after dodgy Viagra was discovered to be Britain’s most significant fake drug after more than ₤ 6.2 countless fake blue tablet were taken by UK regulators in 2023.

More materials of the erectile dysfunction drug were found than knock-off versions of painkillers like morphine.

Health authorities said online retailers flouting guidelines lagged the counterfeit supplies with most being imported from nations like India without an appropriate licence.

Data, from UK regulator The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), reveal 2.6 million dosages of sildenafil, the generic name for the medication best referred to as Viagra, were taken last year.

Another half-million dosages of tadalafil, another erectile dysfunction drug sold under the brand Cialis worth ₤ 1.2 million were likewise seized.

While all medications bring possible adverse effects drugs from undependable sources may either not work or bring extra ingredients or pollutants like heavy metals or other drugs that could be unsafe.
